At Tambre, we continue to promote science and develop our approach advanced reproductive medicine. We have been doing so for more than 45 years. We say goodbye to ESHRE 2024 in Amsterdam with fond memories and proud achievements.
Assisted reproduction in the 21st century
The Tambre team that travelled to the Netherlands has returned with renewed strength and knowledge about assisted reproduction in the 21st century.
We enjoyed ourselves and learnt a lot during the most important congress on human reproduction and embryology in Europe, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024. There was a constant exchange of knowledge during the four days of the scientific meeting, which helps us to continue to grow and improve assisted reproduction treatments at Tambre.
Offering the best treatments
The participation of our experts in this meeting is of utmost importance, and this exchange of knowledge is highlighted by Tambre’s scientific director, Dr. Ángela Llaneza. “It is important to be here and meet colleagues, doctors, embryologists; also because we have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and advances through the research presented. This means that we are able to share new knowledge with our patients and offer more effective treatments at Tambre”
Technology for advanced reproductive medicine
For the Director of Laboratorios Tambre, Dr. Susana Cortés, it is very enriching to learn about the latest technology and to be able to have a broad vision of the new developments which allow us to improve the achievement of a healthy pregnancy.
Improvements in the IVF laboratory
New technologies were the main thrust at this meeting. This was highlighted by Tambre’s scientific advisor, Dr. José Horcajadas, who said that during the congress innovative improvements for in vitro fertilisation (IVF) laboratories were presented.
The expert highlights the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve treatments for patients. He also highlights improvements in the cryopreservation of gametes and embryos in the laboratory.
Tambre Foundation
This year, thanks to the work of the Tambre Foundation, two scientific studies were delivered. One analysed pregnancy rates when probiotic treatment was applied to patients with different species of Lactobacillus in the endometrium. Implantation and clinical pregnancy rates were high, and the researchers have emphasised the importance of rebalancing the endometrial microbiome to improve fertility outcomes in patients.
The other study on sperm selection has determined that the use of the Zymot-ICSI® technique influences the genetic quality of embryos, improving success rates in fertility treatments.
We continue our research
ESHRE 2024 has set us on the path to continue researching and developing science. The Tambre Foundation continues to research and develop studies to improve processes and treatments.
We are already looking forward to the next meeting and are working towards ESHRE 2025, Paris awaits us!
