Tambre is a clinic characterised by its excellence in individualised patient care. This being the case, it advocates comprehensive care for them. We work in the field of health, optimising our patients’ situations to achieve their dream. Mental Health is absolutely involved in the path to pregnancy, and we take care of it in this Unit.
Throughout the course of treatment, thoughts, emotions and even behaviours that are new to many will emerge. These changes in the situation may cause problems, both individually and also in the couple’s relationship. We know that between 40 and 60% of patients in treatment suffer from anxious, depressive or mixed symptomatology. The psychology unit is there to prevent the onset of these symptoms and to treat and relieve people who have already experienced them.
As a member of the Psychology Interest Group of the SEF, our recommendation is to carry out a psychological accompaniment from the diagnosis; in this way we can evaluate if there are already existing needs and intervene from the beginning (let’s not forget that sometimes they arrive at the clinic after many failed attempts that have already generated an emotional overload). Even knowing that this is the ideal, sometimes this is not possible due to various circumstances, but we recommend that when the person feels that their emotional, cognitive or behavioural situation is far from what they consider “wellness” for a prolonged period of time, the next step would be to consult with the Psychology Unit to prevent the symptoms from becoming more intense.
